Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi left the country yesterday (9th Oct) for China to attend the 7th Xiangshan Forum and 2nd China - Sri Lanka Defence Cooperation Dialogue. The two conferences are being held from 10-12 October and 12-15 October respectively.
The Sri Lankan delegation led by Secretary Hettiarachchi includes Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, Chief of Staff of the Navy Rear Admiral SS Ranasinghe, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General HCP Goonethilake and Senior Assistant Secretary (Foreign Affairs) of the Ministry of Defence Ms. Sashikala Premawardhane.
