Consumer Affairs Authority urged strict action against traders who increase the price of white sugar.
According to the Authority, increasing the price of white sugar is a violation of the CAA Act.
The CAA has informed the Essential Goods Importers” Association in this regard and requires prior permission if the price is to be increased.
