President Maithripala Sirisena held a meeting with the senior lawyers who were recently appointed as Presidents’ Counsels.
The meeting was held (July 26) at the President’s House.
During the meeting, the President said a greater service should be offered to the country through their knowledge and experience in the field. He wished them to carry out their professional work independently.
The meeting was held according to the tradition for them to meet the President after they were appointed as the President’s Counsels.
Minister Wijayadasa Rajapakshe was also present at this meeting.
