World Bank has assured its support towards improving the primary health in Sri Lanka, Minister of Health, Nutrition, and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said.
At a special discussion between Minister Senaratne and a WB delegation held recently at the ministry in Colombo, it has been decided to implement national level plans in this regard. The WB is ready to grant about Rs. 200 million for this project.
The progress of the WB funded projects on controlling Non-Communicable Diseases was also discusses at this meeting and the WB officials appreciated the improvements.
