The knowledge and resources of the Tri Forces of Sri Lanka can be easily obtained in nation building, and they are ready to take responsibilities in nation building mechanism. Therefore, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defense, to establish an organization in this regard with civil-military coordination, for obtaining the contribution of tri forces with their resources, training and strength in national development and peace process, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

01. E-Motoring Project – Department of Motor Traffic (Document No - 09)
Above project is expected to be implemented under the three aspects of preparation of an electronic file management system, improvement of the currently used vehicle registration system and database, and improvement of the communication network of the Department of Motor Traffic. The proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to implement the above project as a build, operate and transfer project as recommended by the Ministerial Committee on Economic Management, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

01. Memorandum of Understanding between Government of Singapore and the Government of Sri Lanka on cooperation in area of capacity building of government officials (Document No - 07)
The Government of Singapore has awarded a five-day training program titled ‘Public Sector Leadership Program for Senior Officials from Sri Lanka’ which is to be held at the Civil Service College, Singapore. It has been proposed to run this program in two batches of 35 participants each. The joint proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Hon. Ranjith Maddumabandara, Minister of Public Administration and Management, to enter into a MoU with the government of Singapore in the above field during the visit of the Hon. Prime Minister to Singapore scheduled for next month, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

01. Strengthening the coordination between provincial councils and linear ministries
Matters have been discussed on issues confronted during implementing activities of Provincial Councils efficiently and productively at the beginning of the Cabinet Meeting, and has focused on matters regarding recruitment of teachers to schools under Provincial Councils, filling vacancies of posts of Principals and Teachers, difficulties faced in obtaining resources for Provincial Councils, and waste disposal. The need to impalement development projects with the close coordination between Provincial Councils and Linear Ministries was also emphasised.
